From 1988 to 1992, when the world hasn't been flooded by uniform Bands like THE Hives and THE Others yet, Celtic Crypt painted southern westphalia and the rhineland red. With acomplex mixture of independent-, punk-, wave- and rockmusic Celtic Crypt took the dawning 90ies by storm only to consequently break up on their first step to success.

But what was born in this time, remained in the hearts of these five pigheads forever.

Fifteen years later the band reunited as the former members - who had been scattered as far as Berlin, Cologne and southern germany to make different musical experiences in punk-, rock- and folkbands - found their way back to Schwelm where Celtic Crypt was born. And so they tied on where everything began. Packed with an exciting mixture of own material from the early 90ies, new and reworked songs and some covers from the inspiring 80ies.

They reunited in their historic lineup: Wolf-P. Daude (bass), Stefan Hammermeister (guitar), Olaf Reinwald (drums), Marc Sieper (vocals) und Dirk Weuster (keyboards). Newly added bandmember since 2008: Martin Prang (electric and acoustic guitar).

Influenced among others by The Rolling Stones, The Dream Theater, The New Model Army, The Elton John, The Edgar Allan Poe, The Salvador Dali and The Frank Zappa, Celtic Crypt provide a musical cocktail which could have been mixed by Quentin Tarantino (in co-production with David Lynch).

Cheers!
